What is the AG interface?

Compatible with AG Drive Line inverters, this product is a remote HMI that makes it possible to use and change inverter functions remotely. Typically used in cases where the inverter is inside control panels, which do not allow easy access to the equipment.

The R1 model is suitable for the AG Drive Mini (single phase input). This requires a standard USB mini cable to connect the inverter to the HMI.

The R2 model is suitable for AG Drive Pro (three phase input). This requires a standard Ethernet RJ45 cable to connect the inverter to the HMI.

Advantages of using

Like all accessories of our products, Interface AG has advantages that help in the use of inverters:

  • Compatibility with the entire AG Drive Line;
  • Control of the equipment through it;
  • Options with and without encoder (rotary and pulsating button);
  • Facilitates changing parameters and speeds;
  • Connection via RJ-45 (AG Drive Pro) and USB (AG Drive Mini).

How to use

To use this product, it is recommended to make a cutout in the panel or in the place where it will be fixed, this space needs to be 56mm wide and 61mm high.

AG Interface Fixing

When using the Cat5e/6 ethernet cable, it is recommended to use the T-568A standard, with the sequence of wires, as in the image below.

Meanwhile, using the AG Drive Mini inverter, the cable used is USB/Mini USB, as in the illustration below.

Attention:

Never use USB and RJ45 connections simultaneously, risk of
permanent damage to the product.

How to configure the AG Interface for use

For the remote HMI to be fully in control of the equipment, it will only be necessary to change three parameters, these are responsible for giving the AG interface access to the parameter change command and the reference speed of the inverter output.

Parameter Value Description
P301* 4 Selects the frequency reference for
Modbus communication
P302* 3 Selects the inverter command for Modbus communication
P701 iHrE Special Modbus address for the AG Interface
*Parameters can be changed after P701 is set.
